The Challenge
As DEMETRIOS expanded internationally, the organization faced a critical operational requirement: manage orders from retailers worldwide through a single, consistent process and coordinate production across multiple factories—while maintaining accuracy, traceability, and predictable delivery timelines.
Complexity was amplified by the global network structure: factories across different regions, regional hubs, local representatives, and retailers—each requiring clear roles, approvals, and controlled workflows. In parallel, the company’s growing number of brands, annual collections, and product variations (color, size, fabrics, patterns) demanded strict data consistency and reliable master data management.
The operation required an end-to-end system capable of supporting:
- central oversight and visibility for ordering and approvals,
- production allocation per factory and generation of production plans,
- logistics execution (shipments, hub-based consolidation, receiving, inventory),
- timely customer communication for order confirmations and delivery estimates.
A unified platform was therefore needed to connect the full order-to-production-to-shipment lifecycle, scale globally, and ensure operational consistency across a continuously evolving distribution and manufacturing network.
The Solution
ARTEMIS / WebTradeForce was implemented as a centralized enterprise platform covering the end-to-end lifecycle of order capture, approvals, production allocation, factory planning, and hub-based shipping operations.
The platform supports a multi-tier structure (factories, hubs, representatives, retailers) with controlled ordering workflows: representatives enter orders, hubs approve them electronically, and the system routes production to the appropriate factories, generating production plans and enabling execution tracking.
In parallel, it delivers full logistics coverage (shipments, hub-based consolidation, receiving, inventories) and comprehensive product management across brands and collections—down to color, size, fabric types, and patterns.
To support the global operating model, the solution evolved into a web application enabling secure access for distributed teams across countries. Today it also supports direct retailer order entry with a high level of automation throughout approval and execution flows.
WebTradeForce provides automated order confirmations and online visibility into estimated delivery times per garment, improving transparency and timely communication across all stakeholders.
